Vision:
To be the Youth Organisation of choice

Mission:
To nurture Youth, based on Christian Values to lead and serve

Objectives:

The design of the Emblem was originally an anchor. It stems from the bible scripture Hebrews 6:19.
“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both Sure and Stedfast.” From this verse, The Boys’ Brigade adopted the phrase“Sure and Stedfast” as its motto. When The Boys’ Brigade and The Boys’ Life Brigade (BLB) were united in 1926, the red cross from the BLB’s red cross was added to the BB emblem resulting in the present design.

The Object of The Boys' Brigade shall be the advancement of Christ's Kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness.

The text has remained the same except for addition in 1983 of the word obedience. In practice, the Object means:

• To help Boys develop and grow in Christian character
• To train Boys to become loyal and responsible citizens
• To promote Boys’ physical fitness and develop their leadership potential

Reflections of Pupil:

"I really enjoy going to Girls’ Brigade. The activities I like most are playing games. Our officers and seniors are very kind even though they are strict when we do things wrong. They help to build up our confidence, self esteem and we become more responsible. Girls’ Brigade actually teaches us about the right values like caring for one another, take care of the young and old, as well as be forgiving when others do us wrong. We went to the Old Folks’ Home to learn how to take care of the elderly. I become more patient towards the old folks after this visit. I am looking forward to every GB Meeting and hope I can continue to bring joy to others."
Germaine Yeoh
P6-5 (2011)
"I really enjoy going for Girls' Brigade meetings. We've been taught good values and I have learnt how to be more responsible. I think that learning drills can be quite fun, although we often get scolding from our senior girls and officers. Our officers are really nice to us. They are so encouraging even when we fail to do things right. The senior girls are quite fierce at times but they are actually quite fun-loving. I enjoy every session of Devotion because I can learn more about God's word and many interesting bible stories. I enjoyed the times when my friends and I went to the church to collect donations from the church members. Being able to participate in the Low Guat Tin fund raising project, whereby my good friend, Germaine and I helped out at the breakfast stall really boosted my confidence. I find camps and outings most interesting and exciting. I have learnt a lot about survival skills and how to make my own bunk bed. Learning about Mother Nature during the Mawai Eco Camp was fun and enriching. I just want to thank the GB officers for their immense care and patience, as well as teaching us so many things. I am looking forward to participate in more activities organized by GB, hoping that I will be able to learn more and to share my experience with others."
